Sujata Ambardar, MD is an investigator at CARE-ID and a Partner at Infectious Diseases Physicians, Inc. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1985 with her Bachelors Degree in Biology. In 1990 she earned her Medical Degree from Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Ambardar is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Ambardar began practicing with Infectious Diseases Physicians, Inc. in 1998, at which time she became an attending physician at Inova Fairfax Hospital, as well as a Consultant to the Department of Internal Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Fairfax County Medical Society, the Medical Society of Virginia, and the Greater Washington Infectious Diseases Society. “Washingtonian” magazine cited Dr. Ambardar as one of Washington’s “Top Doctors” in 2005. She has participated as a sub-investigator on clinical research trials since 1998 and is beginning to assume more roles as Principal Investigator. She has been published in refereed journals such as “Current Diagnosis,” and “American Federal Proceedings”.
