Clinical Trials

What is a clinical trial or clinical study?

A new drug goes through many tests in the laboratory and in animals and, if the results are encouraging, it is then tested in humans. When people take a new drug as part of a study, it is called a clinical trial. The results of clinical trials are very important. They tell us about the safety and the effectiveness of the drugs under investigation.

Today CARE-ID runs several active protocols, many of which are still in the enrollment phase.
