Ann Rixinger, MD participates as a sub-investigator on clinical trials at CARE-ID. She is also an Infectious Diseases Specialist at Infectious Diseases Physicians, Inc. Dr. Rixinger graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1980. She became board certified in Internal Medicine in 1983, and Infectious Diseases in 1988. Dr. Rixinger is a member of the Fairfax County Medical Society, the Infectious Diseases Society, the American Medical Society, the Virginia Medical Society, and the Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. In 1983 Dr. Rixinger was honored with election into the Christ the King Regional High School Graduates’ Hall of Fame, and in 1999 she received the Good Samaritan Medical Center Physician Service Medal. Dr. Rixinger contributed to the General Chemistry Principles and Structure text, and has been published in the American Journal of Medicine. Dr. Rixinger has participated as a sub-investigator on numerous clinical trials since 2000.
