CARE-ID was established in April 2005 by Donald Poretz, MD, FACP, IDSA, and David Wheeler, MD, FACP.

CARE-ID conducts clinical research trials in infectious diseases with the highest quality and integrity and partner with pharmaceutical companies and government agencies to deliver new and improved treatments for infectious diseases to patients and doctors. Through our alliance, we bring high quality research to underserved communities, and provide our Sponsors with the highest quality data.
